Ah, just your average everyday selfie in the office. Perhaps my usual favorite past time, especially good when you have well hidden cubby holes to perform camwhoring activities hehe.

Today I was feeling rather chirpy, so that probably explains the whole lot going on here. Dangling earrings, sequinned cardigan over a polka dot shirt, and topped off with a bright orange lip. I've been really into the bright lips lately, more so with the orange-y tones. Though I should probably cut down on the lipstick shopping, kinda getting outta hand here. One mouth, a shitload of lippies. Whoops.

Soooooooo I'm back for a post. And guess what? I've finally chopped my locks! Ah yes, something new is always worth a mention. Change, what better way to start with a new hairdo? After  so many years of growing out my hair (it really takes ages), it suddenly hit me to be bored of it one day and decide for a cut. And not just saying a few inches here dude, I mean the whole done deal. Growing up, I've always been really hair-conscious if you could call it that. As a kid I used to hate my hair so much I would actually cut bits of it which displeased me, impulsively. Of course, nothing good came out of it and my hair was quite in the state of mess back then. I've gone from the poof-iest short hair to obsessively straightened  locks to bowl cut bobs. Today, I've learnt my lesson hard enough to not kid around with it since hair could practically make or break a look. So I've gone safe over the years with medium to long hair, stuck to my usual wavy-ish mussed up ways. Take a look at my narcissistic (good hair day btw) self below.

Getting hair that long does not come easy for me. Somehow my hair takes eons to grow, and this length above was about a year's worth of growth. I last cut my hair late last year and never touched it since. Just last month upon browsing my usual fashion and style sites, I got so stuck on Karlie Kloss' recent bob cut, along with my recent obsession with Miroslava Duma's hair, it just sorta stuck to me that I had to have a haircut too. And not even a slight trim, but a drastic cut instead. So here's the new me down below again, all mighty fierce and fresh from the salon. I did it. I really did it. Patting myself on the back, I took a step to do something that I'm usually fearful of. Yes, even if it's just hair. And I can feel the breeze on my neck without needing to tie my hair. Ah bliss. Next on my list, getting some tongs to have some fun with my new bob. I'm ready for some fun.

Fashion week has again just come and gone. Always a great time for endless amount of eye candy. So much inspiration going on its madness. One of my very favorite past times (um, and at work), you'd either see me scrolling through pages of street styles or feasting on Tumblr posts. Obsessed.

Just some of my very favorites this season, and that's not even the end of it. Loving myself a chic midi  skirt but can't seem to find that perfect one yet. Talk about the banes of owning short legs (insert sulk face). Ahhhh and shoes, shoes, and even more shoes. Never get enough. Always a sweet spot for gorgeous redhead Taylor Tomasi Hill, I'd die for them legs. Miroslava Duma is the cutest petite size ever, just what I need. She makes me want to cut my hair, badly.

A sneaky picture taken while the people were out for lunch. Self shots are not really that easy, and in my fluster I even forgot to remove my work lanyard (duh). Oh well, happy Friday and cheers to the weekend people!

TGIF. Fridays are always dress-down days, feel free to bring out the prints! Haven't been feeling inspired lately, not to mention lazy, so my dressing up days are slowly ebbing away. The rest of the week I pretty much stick to my usual semi-formal form, repeating most outfits since I wake up every morning groggy and impossibly grumpy to give two hoots about a full runway show.

I got the Zara-inspired skirt at Platinum Mall after pondering for ages (it cost me 400 baht so you can surely understand my hesitation there). Denim shirt has been literally worn to death by me, it really is one of my favorite go-tos for any outfit. Shoes that are pretty yet bring out the pain in me, never once have I yet to survive these pair without band-aids. Prints on prints, blue on blue. I'm liking it.

Oh and just to randomly mention, caught The Wolverine last night and it was awesome. I'm naturally always biased when it comes to hot men, but the show was pretty good aside some minor bummers. Finally a superhero fighting it out in another country other than USA and destroying the usual Trump Towers in NYC. Japan!! The Zojoji scene just left me excited with glee all over again, having just been there last Winter (still suffering from post-Japan withdrawals, evidently. I need to go back!!). And totally digging the mix of the Samurai and Yakuza into the storyline. I've always been into the Japanese cultures. DOPE. Oh, and basically I just love X-Men movies. What can I say? Hugh Jackman, Wolverine, Logan, whatever - I LOVE. (yes Tony Stark, love you too) Okay knees quivering from excitement again, bye now.

These new babies are finally mine. I've had them on my mind for a while now but never got down to getting my hands on them. In a spur moment, I clicked the 'confirm' button and bam, they're mine. Right now, these would be my third pair of Rayban's, after the wayfarers and aviators. And these classics will do you no wrong. Too good.

Today marks the last working day of 2012 for me. And the last blogging that I'll be doing till I return from my trip early next month.

Okay, so wait for it -
woohoohoorahrahyippeeyadadoodledootweedledum!

Pop some bottles of champagne people, because the day has finally arrived for me to embark on my next adventure -grins widely with full metal mouth in display- . From the day we paid for our air tickets, excitement has had no bounds. And let me just say this, believe it or not,  I'm pretty sure that I've also possibly gone through 80% of Google's search list on recent blog posts on Japan travelogues. Yes, I kid you not, I am that thrilled kiddos. But of course, experiencing the real deal and tastes is a whole different matter, one which I will be living in less than 24 hours. Yessssssssah.

Soon enough I'll be back (well I hope it doesn't need to be that soon really, but reality sucks anyway), bursting and no longer fitting my clothes. Pleasssssssse Santa, all I really ask for is to NOT gain the pounds.

So for now its just goodbye then, till we say hello again.

But before we do, some thoughts on the passing year and sidetracking to leather on leather action today.

So I haven't left for the land of rising sun yet, but I had a little fun composing some outfits in mind for the upcoming trip to Bali after anyway. A total contrast to my winter wear problems in Japan, Bali is bound to be full of sun (please man, no more rain!!!!!) and sweat. I hadn't booked for check-in baggage, so I'm hoping that this trip would be a light one, since I have never ever gone on any trip without shitloads of clothing to spare. I don't know yet, I probably might change my mind and get check-in afterall just in case. I'm fickle just like that. -shrugs-

Anyway, obviously my wardrobe hasn't got the full set of load as posted. I wish, but I really can't be bothered to spend hundreds on a pair of shorts or swimwear. The important thing is you get the idea of it, and settle for alternatives, get it? Oh but the We Are Handsome bikinis are pretty cool though. Santa what do you say, mm?(furiously batting eyelashes) And if possible, please zap away my talking belly too, thank you sir.

Shirt - Cotton On // Leather Jacket - Taobao // Pants - Topshop

As the title suggests, it's pretty evident that I've been living in this jacket like its, well, second skin. Words cannot describe my love and need for it. The smooth buttery texture, and too-cool-for-school quilted shoulders are just perfect for the laid back style in me. I do love my layers but Singapore is just too hot and humid to allow that, so this outer addition is just right when I need that extra oomph in an outfit. The best bit, it's quite a steal given the prices charged for a good quality leather piece these days. J'adore.

Much has been said about the glorious spread on my head. Many have commented on the messiness yet perfect waviness to my hair, and again I thank you all. Just so you know, I wasn't exactly blessed with such curls/waves whatever you'd like to call them, from the start, and I kid you not when I say that I have indeed gone through the phase of horrid hair with such similarities to an African coconut it bordered to the case of ungodly sights. The horror (shudders). Anyway moving on, having been such a vain nuisance since younger days, I took on the task of perfecting that head of hair. I mean, the mane is practically one's own safety net, oui?

Long gone since the days we kids were all so into that straight hair trend. The straighter the better, back then it was, with our combs sticking out of pockets being the coolest shit ever and guys with their McDonald's (not Ronald's fire red hair, we're talking about the 'M' hair shape here) hairstyles flooding the streets. Ah, the horrific trendy days. Nowadays, I'd prefer the let-loose-and-go way, no combs no brushes, and just a smack of oil to smooth out those tresses. As you would notice, I prefer my mane messed up with as much volume possible, that's the way to go. Sleeping with my hair tied helps too. Then we come to the part of prefect lengths. I don't recall ever having the waist length type of hair, nor could I imagine myself with such Barbie-doll likes, so mine's always cut at some point when I get too bored of it. The picture above I would say, is my perfect hair length as of yet. which comes and goes as quickly with me either snipping it a tad too short, or it growing out way too soon. Gah, hair woes. All I would say, hair is no easy matter (not to mention expensive business too) and with that I end this post while I sulk about today's lanky hair situation. Perfect hair length and mess, I do hope to see you again soon.
