Today marks the last working day of 2012 for me. And the last blogging that I'll be doing till I return from my trip early next month.

Okay, so wait for it -
woohoohoorahrahyippeeyadadoodledootweedledum!

Pop some bottles of champagne people, because the day has finally arrived for me to embark on my next adventure -grins widely with full metal mouth in display- . From the day we paid for our air tickets, excitement has had no bounds. And let me just say this, believe it or not,  I'm pretty sure that I've also possibly gone through 80% of Google's search list on recent blog posts on Japan travelogues. Yes, I kid you not, I am that thrilled kiddos. But of course, experiencing the real deal and tastes is a whole different matter, one which I will be living in less than 24 hours. Yessssssssah.

Soon enough I'll be back (well I hope it doesn't need to be that soon really, but reality sucks anyway), bursting and no longer fitting my clothes. Pleasssssssse Santa, all I really ask for is to NOT gain the pounds.

So for now its just goodbye then, till we say hello again.

But before we do, some thoughts on the passing year and sidetracking to leather on leather action today.

So I haven't left for the land of rising sun yet, but I had a little fun composing some outfits in mind for the upcoming trip to Bali after anyway. A total contrast to my winter wear problems in Japan, Bali is bound to be full of sun (please man, no more rain!!!!!) and sweat. I hadn't booked for check-in baggage, so I'm hoping that this trip would be a light one, since I have never ever gone on any trip without shitloads of clothing to spare. I don't know yet, I probably might change my mind and get check-in afterall just in case. I'm fickle just like that. -shrugs-

Anyway, obviously my wardrobe hasn't got the full set of load as posted. I wish, but I really can't be bothered to spend hundreds on a pair of shorts or swimwear. The important thing is you get the idea of it, and settle for alternatives, get it? Oh but the We Are Handsome bikinis are pretty cool though. Santa what do you say, mm?(furiously batting eyelashes) And if possible, please zap away my talking belly too, thank you sir.

Ah, such mad love for these girls.. oh I mean angels.

(PS: Picture quality looks so awesome. So the question strikes again, stick to ol' Apple, or make a switch to Samsung S3?)

////
Hi guys, been a lack of updates lately. I've been busy, lazy and haven't been shooting pictures so there. I'll just lay out the gist of recent happenings.

1. Sunday flea markets, cause I'm fast becoming poorer than I already am with my rising expenditures in everything and anything.

2. Dental appointments, as you may (or not) notice in the picture, following up to my braces set up. Yes, I finally took the plunge (back to topic of rising expenditures, get it now?) and committed myself to a two-year relationship to being a full-fledged metal mouth. The first week was such a bitch of pain after my extraction (I am now 4 teeth lesser again after 4 wisdom teeth gone from last year) cause they had these annoying rubber bands stuck in between the teeth to space them out. Ugh, bitch. Don't ask me why I never thought of it earlier or why do I need them (apparently half the world disregards my need for braces yada yada), its just a matter of me knowing now and going for it. And yes, I thought about it long and through, and I do what I want. I'm a woman for pain to gain. So there you go guys, say hi to metal mouth. -waves!!-

3. On the day that I had my braces done, I managed to also squeeze in a mani-pedi appointment, and when I got home I did my hair. I haven't done self-dyes in ages, and was kind of flustered as I tried to juggle it through while at the same time catching up on my Korean drama. The color turned out more blackish than I thought, when I bought the pack and it stated dark brown. Mm what the hell. But I'm sure my stylist is gonna bite at me for this. Whooopsy. So yeah see? I'm a busy bimbo.

4. The mother's birthday, okay so the day ended up a blurry buzz cause I woke up late (hey, I had a really insane early start the day before alright) and spent a long time chewing immensely slow on soft fruit whilst getting used to the steel in my mouth. Anyway, my sisters and I decided to bake a cake this year for my mom's birthday. Thankfully, the youngest has had some previous practice, so naturally she was put to take charge...while I did the paying for ingredients. Well okay, I did weigh out some portions and did some mixtures, not a total free rider. And I'm proud to say that the red velvet cake turned out pretty well, tasty in fact if I might add. For once, I'd bother with a second helping cause it was that good. And yes, the Nutella did help a lot too. Since I could barely chew anything, I scrapped the idea of dinner making (total lack of time anyway) and treated the fam to Canton Paradise dim sum instead (no, I didn't get to eat the roasted honey pork or custard buns -wails-).

5. Packing for Japan, cause this bitch here tends to bring her whole closet anywhere she goes. I'm picky and insistent like that, so sue me. Yes, I have a hard time choosing outfits, and with this round's trip consisting of so much winter wear, frankly speaking I'm really quite at a loss here on how to pack my luggage. With 1 shearling, 2 wool, and 1 fur coat to squeeze, my luggage is already barely keeping them in even with them jam-packed in compressor bags. And we haven't moved on to inner wears yet. Oh woes.

So there, I'm been a busy lazy girl. Thankfully, no Christmas shopping this year cause apparently all the friends are so busy with boyfriends and can't be bothered about anyone else, so all the more for me kiddos. Plus Japan has literally squeezed me dry. Oh, but its finally happening next week. For real. Oh yeah, mama's coming.

Shirt - Cotton On // Leather Jacket - Taobao // Pants - Topshop

As the title suggests, it's pretty evident that I've been living in this jacket like its, well, second skin. Words cannot describe my love and need for it. The smooth buttery texture, and too-cool-for-school quilted shoulders are just perfect for the laid back style in me. I do love my layers but Singapore is just too hot and humid to allow that, so this outer addition is just right when I need that extra oomph in an outfit. The best bit, it's quite a steal given the prices charged for a good quality leather piece these days. J'adore.

22 days to Japan - 64 days to Bali

Yes my dear folks, with the -finally- fast approaching year end trip, some friends and I have decided upon an impromptu Bali trip next year. In January. Exactly a month after I just returned from Japan. Hell, my wallet  sure does need some serious nursing given the constant damage that it always receives. Not to mention, I really need to save up the days of leave for a trip over to visit the cousin before she graduates and comes home for good (the cheapskate in me shall refuse to miss the opportunity of free accommodation/food/transports that possibly my relatives may offer since they'd be heading over too). Plus, it would be my first trip to the States, and how can anyone not be stoked about that? Duh. Anyway, Bali. Second trip there, and my fourth seaside holiday. I really need to attempt para-sailing once and for all and die a happy woman. And not to mention salad and swimming for a whole month to get rid of the likely excess load brought back from Japan. Ok rants, I'm done, bye.

Picture post. I look forward to weekends purely for food. And, its always good to have a good pal to share the carbs load, eh? Ever since I started my healthy regime and diet phase a year ago, its always about keeping to the limits. Girls with naturally slim bods, lucky you. Girls with naturally slim bods yet complain the shitload of bull about being fat, gimme a break and have a cheeseburger then and cut the crap. Keeping fit and maintenance is no easy business, and whilst I'm not the best workout pro there is, I do whatever that keeps me fit enough and most of all, keeps me happy. I do my usual swims every week and keep to healthy meals throughout the weekdays. And when the weekend comes, holla! I have my taste of bliss. Brunch/all-day breakfasts are my favorite kind, and what else but to savor those soft and fluffy pancakes or waffles loaded with maple syrup? Bring on the sugar. After all, I couldn't have grown up in Canada without indulging in their famous maple syrup goodies. Delish. Anyway I'll cut the crap now and let the pictures do the talking. Indulge, my friends. Indulge indeed.

Much has been said about the glorious spread on my head. Many have commented on the messiness yet perfect waviness to my hair, and again I thank you all. Just so you know, I wasn't exactly blessed with such curls/waves whatever you'd like to call them, from the start, and I kid you not when I say that I have indeed gone through the phase of horrid hair with such similarities to an African coconut it bordered to the case of ungodly sights. The horror (shudders). Anyway moving on, having been such a vain nuisance since younger days, I took on the task of perfecting that head of hair. I mean, the mane is practically one's own safety net, oui?

Long gone since the days we kids were all so into that straight hair trend. The straighter the better, back then it was, with our combs sticking out of pockets being the coolest shit ever and guys with their McDonald's (not Ronald's fire red hair, we're talking about the 'M' hair shape here) hairstyles flooding the streets. Ah, the horrific trendy days. Nowadays, I'd prefer the let-loose-and-go way, no combs no brushes, and just a smack of oil to smooth out those tresses. As you would notice, I prefer my mane messed up with as much volume possible, that's the way to go. Sleeping with my hair tied helps too. Then we come to the part of prefect lengths. I don't recall ever having the waist length type of hair, nor could I imagine myself with such Barbie-doll likes, so mine's always cut at some point when I get too bored of it. The picture above I would say, is my perfect hair length as of yet. which comes and goes as quickly with me either snipping it a tad too short, or it growing out way too soon. Gah, hair woes. All I would say, hair is no easy matter (not to mention expensive business too) and with that I end this post while I sulk about today's lanky hair situation. Perfect hair length and mess, I do hope to see you again soon.

Can't believe that its already mid-way through November already. Just seemed like yesterday was just January hitting on February. Time is flying by incredibly fast. Not much has changed, but the change has been pretty good too. There's so much to learn, so much to see, so much to try, and so much more to achieve. I set out this year with a few things on my resolutions list, albeit some quite irrelevant and silly, I'm glad to have achieved some of them. I mean c'mon, every girl needs to have Chanel on their resolutions list, no? Definitely more to accomplish in the near future. I cut myself a proper break since last year after the longest relationship, and indeed it feels pretty damn great. Independence after so long has been such a breather which I'll gladly embrace anytime now, at the same time making me realize how I used to be in contrast as to how my friends are now. Pity, but oh well. I don't mind doing things alone anymore, in fact the thought of peace and being able to make my own decisions are all the more liberating. Reading alone at some cafe seems like one of the best ideas these days. Invisibility is one of those pure bliss moments at times like these. Of course, having constantly hearing friends about weddings, houses and babies may cause the swift awkward moments when you have absolutely nothing in common nor contribution to the topic, but right now it's hardly on the agenda, so we'll leave that to some other time shall we? Indeed, singleton has done me my fair share of good and I hope to cherish it as long as it lasts. Travel, something I never really put to mind previously but has now become my utmost number 1 wanted list. I hope to travel alone to somewhere, someday. I want to see the world, live the life, and embark on that new adventure. Hopefully, that someday will be soon.

Finally got round to getting my hair done over the weekend. God how I hate roots peeking out for the world to see, definitely not a good look. This time round I brought my mom along to get hers done too, a rare pampering chance for her since she hardly does anything to her hair and has been only rebonding it for the past ten years, certainly time for a new change. I did my usual of course, color and cut. I was pretty set on getting black but Zoe, my stylist, always refuses to do so for me. So much for channeling the Leigh Lezark look. Anyway I did go darker than the usual, and boy do I hope it lasts just cause I'm really sick of bright hair issues now and I just want some healthy looking hair. Had some length cut off too, so its sort of like a shoulder length wavy bob now, if you get what I mean. I hope the length will grow up well till my trip next month. Yes, I always need smashin' hair for pictures. 45 more days to go, yes to that baby!
